Visco-elastic memory foam was a product created in the lab, so it has built-in comfort properties. Air pockets are placed in the foam without affecting the integrity of the product. These air channels, which run within the foam, keep you cool even if your body gets warm at night.
Memory foam mattresses are sold in a variety of densities, and mattress toppers come in varying thicknesses. How do you know which one is right for you? The heavier you are, the denser you want your mattress to be. If you are a side or back sleeper, the thicker pads are better. Stomach sleepers generally prefer thinner mattress pads.
